Our aim at Cycles UK is very simple, to get people out on their bikes. Whether that means a top of the range mountain or road bike, fixing a wheel, or helping a customer pick the right lights for their commuting bike. Our staff need to have the knowledge and experience to get our customers going. That is why we are constantly looking for knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff with a real commitment to customer service.

Although you will probably already have a reasonable amount of knowledge about bikes we don't expect you to know it all already. That's why we offer continuous professional training to all of our staff to make sure they are up to speed on the latest technologies and trends in the bike world. This can range from workshops with our suppliers to days out test riding their latest bikes.

Current Vacancies

Our Basildon Store requires a Mechanic.

Our Basildon store is one of our biggest and busiest shops. We are looking for a mechanic to undertake all aspects of bike building and repair work. The ideal candidate should be Cytech qualified and have experience of working in a busy customer focused environment.

Working with the shop manager you will be responsible for ensuring that all new bikes are built to the correct standard and that all repair work is done on time and on budget. The right candidate will have the opportunity to become head mechanic and take a lead roll in the day to day running of the shop.

Although you will ideally already be Cytech qualified we will expect you to continue your professional development, gaining the higher Cytech qualifications and attending manufacturer run technical workshops.

Salary will be dependent on experience

Manager Opportunities in Essex

Due to internal promotions we have management opportunities at two of our Essex Stores.

We offer an extensive training program for all staff and believe in promoting from within the company. We are therefore looking for individuals with the potential to progress from assistant to full shop manager.

You will need to be confident, fast thinking, have great sales and people skills. You will also need to be computer literate.

Previous management experience is preferred but not essential.

We are offering a competitive salary package including commission and bonuses and great potential in a growing company.
